More About Me

My mission is to help others eat and live well. Reducing stress and enjoying life, and food, not only makes life more fun, but improves our health.

When I started my career in the medical field over a decade ago, I felt discouraged by all the chronically ill patients I cared for, who didn’t get better after years of medications. I became obsessed interested in prevention through nutrition and lifestyle. After I changed my own habits and experienced a major shift in my health and wellbeing, I wanted to share it with everyone.

After getting my master’s degree and working as a Physician Assistant, I quickly appreciated the power of lifestyle and nutrition in healthcare but found a common obstacle. Even when people know what’s healthy, and what they should eat, it doesn’t mean they’ll do it, consistently.

There are so many legitimate barriers in our everyday lives. Balancing healthy eating and the complexity of modern life is a big challenge, and one I faced too as adult life got busier. Over the last decade I’ve developed a simple and organized approach to meal planning that helps me find sustainable success. It might be simple, but it’s powerful, and can transform the way you approach healthy eating through busy weeks.

I think healthy eating should be enjoyable, approachable and simple. It shouldn’t feel complex, rigid, overwhelming or too time consuming. And it shouldn’t add more stress to our lives. I also think food makes life a lot more fun. My favorite things to cook are hearty soups, tacos and risotto. I get extra excited about summer tomatoes and sourdough bread. My favorite things to eat are chips and guac, breakfast burritos, tacos, dumplings and pizza. And, I think self care is just as important as healthy eating.
